Polar Bear Plunge

Last year all I heard was "We want to do the Polar Bear Plunge!" I said "Are you crazy?! No way! You will freeze your rear off." This year I let them. It really wasn't too bad. The temperature was around 55. They dumped ice in the pool before all the people jumped in. All morning long I heard, "We are going to stay in that pool for a long time. We aren't sissies. When everybody gets out we will just float around." When 400 bodies hit the water and their heads came out all you heard was a collective AAAHHHHH!!!!! You had better not have been in their way to get their towel because you would have been mowed down. Guess who were 2 of the first out of the pool. ; ) Joseph's 2nd jump. The first was straight into the pool with 400 other people!

p.s. Caden was going to jump, but he ended up spending the night at his cousin's house.

New Years Goal

I love to read people's blogs. I read them too much probably. It is just so much fun to catch up on people's lives (a.k.a. snooping). People that you have lost contact with, people that you don't even know, and people that you do know. I have forever said that I was going to start a blog. My boys have always said, "Mom, if you have time to read other people's blogs, then you have time to write one." True, I know, but I am lazy. I do not like to write. I am hoping that I will keep this going. I definately have the material for a blog. With 7 children there is a major occurence several times a week around here. I think that the last entry in my journal starts with "I got married!" Sad.

I however, do not know blog etiquette. I am hoping that you will fill me in. Is it appropriate to put your friends/strangers blog links on your blog without asking them? Must you ask each one individually if you can please, pretty please put a link to their blog on your blog so that yours does not look boring and dull? I just do not know! Please help!
