About 2 years ago we had a visit from some awesome friends. They were moving from Florida to Idaho and stopped by our house on the way. We let the kids stay up late because who knew when we would get to see them again. It was about 10:00 at night and they were out jumping on the trampoline. In the dark. Smart, I know. All of the sudden Caden comes screaming into the house with blood pouring down his face. We all started running around in circles and hollering. "What happened?!" All he could get out was Parker and my first thought is, "I'm gonna kill that kid." We start heading out the door to the emergency room and Parker comes thru the door with blood pouring down his face! The whole place is in an uproar as we are trying to figure out what in the world is going on!!
We jump into the van, while I, in true Erma Bombeck style, have a dirty dish rag wrapped around each kids head. We finally get out of them what happened. They were all in a big ball rolling around on the trampoline and Caden thought that it would be a great idea to tackle them. So he leaps as high and as hard as he can into the pile. Unbeknownst to him, Parker had the same great idea and leaped at the exact time into Caden's head.
I think that was a first for the doctor's and nurses at the ER. They even snickered a time or two. Parker required 8 stitches and Caden 12.
We don't have a trampoline anymore.

My Mom never let us have a trampoline...same kind of reason! How scary!! Glad they made it through it all ok!!

Kind of reminds me when you guys were over and Dustin's mouth was split open. You were so calm holding his mouth together... with a dish rag! Did the Bishop give them candy for each stitch... or did that stop when Dustin received over 90 pieces of candy? Ü

One boy will do me just fine. :) Well, except for what your ONE boy did in the last post. Seriously, how are you still sane?

Haha! Why does Parker's name always come up when there's mischief going on? I'm still dying that Jacob told Joe it was Parker who crashed the car!!

I have a love/hate relationship with trampolines. I love how fun and entertaining they are for the kids but I hate how stressed I am the whole time the kids are playing because I'm just sure something like this will happen! Bet the boys like the cool battle scars though ; )

It is true, my kids had to jump on OPT( Other People's Trampolines) just like I did when I was a kid. Crazily, our friend's trampoline, which was an old rectangle one, was in their garage?! Yes, on concrete.

Early on, I had a friend tell me that their Dr. had a little girl that came in with a broken leg from the trampoline. She was all alone, jumping. That was the shocker.

Kids love 'em but all those busted lips and heads...no thanks!
