Abigail has a sassy mouth. She probably comes by it naturally. I have been known to smart off a time or two (maybe 200) when somebody does something that I think is uncalled for. I am a big believer in justice. My mouth has gotten me into trouble before.
Abigail sasses anybody around here though. She will tell the boys when they are babysitting that "they are NOT the charge of this house". One day she wanted more milk in her cereal and Joe told her that she had enough and she told him "you are not the charge of this house, mom is." A couple of days later she was in the kitchen and he told her to run out and play and she said, "you're not the charge of this whole world." Getting bigger and better huh? He laughs. I tell him he WILL NOT be laughing when she is 16 and she tells him he is not the charge.
Well, the other day she wouldn't quit bugging her brother and I told her to stop and she said, "you're not the charge of anything."
Her sassy little mouth got put in the bed for a LOOOOONG nap. If I had more than 1 girl I honestly don't know what I would do with myself!

LOL! Yes, it must be a girl thing! Teya is as sassy as they come. The other day I told her she had to turn off the TV and she said, "no Mom! Are you kidding me?" I never thought my 3 year old would say are you kidding me!
This is so funny to be but it's because it's not my sassy girl! Heaven help me! I've got 2 and I'm sure that there's more to come!
I have come to the realization that Trevor and Abigail are forces to be reckoned with. A few months ago he was doing the required wall sits for messing around at bedtime and after about two minutes with his face bright red he yelled, "I'm gonna punch you in your eyeball and it's gonna hurt!" That just earned him an extra few minutes squatting at the wall and a good dose of heavy laughter from Chad and I...and we were not laughing WITH him!!
(cue the evil laugh) ... I can't wait until she turns sixteen ... and remember, I know from whence I speak ;-)
I can just imagine what my parents would do to me if I said that to them!
(My dad would not have laughed!!!)
I'm scared to find out what Anna will pick up when she starts preschool!
Oh yes the sassyness of little girls- I know it well. :)
It is nice to have 2 girls to play girlie things together, but having the 4 boys to balance them out. Girls are funner to dress up and go shopping with though... What would have been funny is if he had said "YES I AM IN CHARGE OF THE WHOLE WARD!" to see what she her reaction would be. Julie would have argued it to tears...
Little girls, little girls what fun they are!!
